Harvey Danger Dystopia

Most Excellent. Harvey Danger is releasing their newest album on their website for free. This is not a limited release, and the album will be up on the site for a long time, according to them.

Whether or not people will buy something they can get for free is obviously a big question, and there are facts and figures to support both sides of the argument. We think it’s not only possible, but likely. The more fundamental challenge is ensuring people have access to your work to begin with....

Of course, the CD will also be for sale on the site, as well as in fine independent record stores across the country, in a deluxe package that includes a 30-minute bonus disc that serves as a companion piece to the record proper (retail price for the package is $11.99).

Expect to hear it this week if all goes well.

Limited Dystopia

So. I got the show together for this week and it is very good. Trouble is, I have no way to burn it, for, as I have indicated in past posts, I currently am without a computer at home, the computer I have @ werk has no burner, and my burn hook-up is having severe issues with his machine. That's the way it goes, I guess. Open to requests this week. Call me 406.243.6226.

Language Removal Services

I played a few LRS tracks last night. Got them @ WFMU. The project, though is here.

Dystopia 09.18.05

We got two new fancy decks in the studio that I can't figure out how to use. The show went off without a hitch anyway, though. Fun stuff from Tofu Hut and WFMU mostly.

Setlist is up .

Dystopia 09.11.05

I managed to muddle through a scratched CD and an out-of-order setlist. I wasn't able to figure aout all of the music that I played, so the setlist is somewhat incomplete. Apologies all around.

Dystopia in Progress 09.11.05

This whole not having regular access to the Internet and a CD burner at the same time gets a big red "F". After a much deserved Dystopia hiatus last week (Thanks to DJ AA for filling my show for me) I'm back, and the MP3 disc I burned from an iTunes playlist is all out of whack. The songs are not in the order in which iTunes printed the playlist, and the songs are, of course, unfamiliar, so I'm having to do a little guesswork as to what's what. Should be an interesting show.
